Pastor J.R. Cole Senior was born the 23rd day of March in 1978 to Brian and Alicia Cole in Seattle WA. Pastor Cole and his three brothers were raised in the fear of the Lord and attended Greater Glory COGIC under the leadership of Supt. Sam L. Townsend as a boy. Around the age of twelve he started to stray very heavily from the Church while increasingly being more drawn into gang activity and the 'thug life' which was so pervasive in the culture that influenced him. By the time he became seventeen he had been in gang fights,  kicked out of virtually every high school he attended, spent some time in Boys Town and eventually left home.

By now his family was losing hope but a mothers love for her son kept her on her knees and while she and the saints were praying God was working. In the summer of '95' on a Saturday night in September he found himself at Greater Christ Temple Church in Tacoma WA on what he thought was a hum bug but that was the night God answered his mother's prayers and saved him! On that glorious night all he could remember the preacher saying is "never let the devil ride because he always ends up driving" and the rest is history.

​Pastor Cole is now the loving husband to Karahn Cole, the proud father of a blended family with three handsome boys and two beautiful girls, the Senior Pastor of Greater Gospel Temple COGIC, the Superintendent of the Joshua District and the State Youth President for the Wa Northwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction COGIC.  Pastor Cole has preached the Gospel across the U.S and is excited to see what God has in store for his future!
